PRESS: Beyond the Horizon

The Law Society Gazette has delivered a feature piece on lawyer independence in the context of the Post Office Horizon Scandal and the upcoming evaluation of the role of legal advisors to the decision-makers in that case. The piece covers insights from our GC response to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Richard Moorhead is quoted extensively in the piece, and his upcoming study into the role of lawyers in The Post Office Horizon Scandal is most welcome. I reflect in the piece, amongst other aspects, that the system in which an individual operates is as relevant as the individual themselves; perhaps more so. Reevaluating this (the system - the infrastructure around people) is an area on which we can usefully put our collective focus.
